“A man who works with his hands is a laborer; a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman,
but a man who works with his hands and his brain and his heart is an artist.
And a craft as intricate as metal etching requires the vision of an artist and the skill of a craftsman.”

This document is dedicated to the brilliant artisans and craftsmen of India. Even in the constant shadow of the rest of the country, they succeed in shining bright through their exceptional work and their accomplished artistic genius. Being young designers in the diverse field of fashion has exposed us to various cultures, but the rich stories told though the metal engraving craft of Moradabad ignited our interest to know more. Through this, our goal is to open some new doors to this handicraft, and we hope that there will be more efforts from the artisans and the Government to recognize, promote, and preserve this rich legacy of ages.
